The city of Moscow
Other than being the capital city of the Russian Federation, Moscow is the most recognised city in Russia known worldwide. It may sound quite astonishing, but this is the biggest city in Russia in terms of area and population, with the population of about 12 million; yet it is now considered to be the billionaire capitol of the world. This is so because it is now ahead in the number of billionaires it has produced and/or created in the aforementioned region. Two of the cities that are in its vicinity are Penza and Nizhniy Novogorod, and it is also near Ukraine. This magnificent city is located in the west of Russia, and some of the most magnificent examples of Russian architecture dominate here, to represent palaces. It is the Moskva river that flows through the city, which contributes to the beauty of the city and in turn provides more attractions for tourists to engage in during the course of their holiday.
Compared with similar organisations in other countries, Moscow Metro is one of the most highly developed systems of underground facilities. Among the most popular tourist destinations in this region of Russia are the following: There is a richness of tourism assets of which the most famous and prominent are: Red Square with Leni’s tomb and St Basil cathedral; Bolshoi Theatre; Kremlin; Pushkin Art Museum; Old Arbat; Novodevichy Convent; Tretyakov gallery; Church of Ascension; Ostankino Tower; Institute of Russian Realist art. That is not the end of it. Some of other tourist attractions in Moscow are Tverskaya Street, Gorky Park, Museum of Soviet Arcade Machines, Victory Park, Vorobyovy Gory, Garden of Fallen Monuments, Bunker-42, Christ the Saviour Cathedral, and the Russian State Library. Tourists that would appreciate parks and gardens that are large enough will have so many to explore here. A few examples of them include the Kolomenskoye, the State Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno, Park Sokolniki, the Japanese garden in Botanichesky Sad, the Patriarshi Ponds Area, and the Bulgakov Master and Margaret. Everyone who is visiting has access to a variety of entertaining activities. A few examples of these attractions include the Novaya Opera, the Nikulin Circus, the Russian Bathhouse, the Kva-Kva Water Park, the hot air balloon trip, the Moscow Zoo, and the MiGs flying above Moscow.
There are around ten state universities in Moscow, including the Russian State Medical University, the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, among others.
